Darius Rucker is engaged to Emily Deahl: See photos of the proposal here
Love is in the air for Darius Rucker.
The country singer announced his engagement to Emily Deahl in a joint Instagram post Wednesday, sharing photos of the romantic proposal and the couple’s celebration afterward as Deahl showed off her new ring.
Photos from the post show Rucker proposing on a boardwalk, kneeling as Deahl smiles at him. In another image, the singer and content creator beams as Rucker kisses her on the cheek.
“Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known,” Rucker wrote in the caption. “The day I met you I knew I didn’t want to go another one without you. Now I don’t have to.”

Deahl later reshared the post on her Instagram story, explaining why she had kept their relationship private until now.
“I never intended on keeping this part of my life from you guys for so long, but somewhere along the way of loving him I discovered how sacred love is to me,” she wrote. “And all I wanted to do was protect it.”
She added, “But damn I’m glad I don’t have to spend the time photoshopping him out of every photo now 🥳.”
Rucker, who is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the band Hootie & the Blowfish, was previously married to Beth Leonard from 2000 to 2020.
He first went public with Deahl on Instagram, a month before their engagement.
On Sept. 9, he shared a photo from a trip to Las Vegas, captioning the post, “Wizard of Oz at @spherevegas with my love & my boys. 1000/10!!!!!”
