‘Camp Rock 3’ officially happening at Disney Channel with Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato
Turn on that radio as loud as it can go because “Camp Rock 3” is coming.
A third installment of the beloved Disney Channel franchise has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+, Disney Branded Television announced in a press release on Wednesday.
To add to the excitement, Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas will return to their roles as Shane Gray, Nate Gray and Jason Gray, respectively, of the fictional band, Connect 3.
They will also co-executive produce with Demi Lovato, who portrayed Mitchie Torres in the first two films.
“It’s time to head back to camp,” Nick Jonas said alongside his brothers in a video shared by Disney+ about the news.
The video also included clips from the set. At the end of the video, the text on screen says the film is “now in production.”
A separate post from Disney+ shared details of the “Camp Rock 3” cast, which features Maria Canals-Barrera returning to her role as Connie Torres (Mitchie’s mom).
Joining the cast are Liamani Segura as Sage, Hudson Stone as Desi, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, Ava Jean as Madison and Sherry Cola as Lark.
According to the press release, “Camp Rock 3” will pick up when Connect 3 “lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing.”
“As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances,” the press release continues. “Camp Rock’s all-new campers include bold and determined Sage (Segura) and her easygoing brother Desi (Stone), cello prodigy Rosie (Pollack), drummer with his own beat Cliff (Trotter), choreo queen Callie (Pitts), intimidating influencer Madison (Jean) and camp bad boy Fletch (Barton).”
“Camp Rock” made its debut on the Disney Channel in 2008. The film centered around a music camp for gifted teens. When pop idol Shane Gray overhears a girl singing (Lovato), he sets out to find who the voice belongs to. What he doesn’t know is that the voice belongs to a teenage girl (Mitchie) who helps her mom in the camp kitchen.
The second film “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” sees Mitchie and Connect 3 returning to Camp Rock only to learn that a new camp has opened across the lake, creating an atmosphere of competition.

Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas appear in this screengrab from a video shared on social media.
