Zenline AI, a Zurich-based B2B startup developing AI agents to support assortment decisions in European retail, has secured its first investment to support European multi-brand retailers to make faster, more profitable assortment decisions. Early adopters are already using the platform and over one million Stock Keeping Units have been analyzed.

Zenline AI empowers European retailers with AI agents for modern assortment optimization. In a market shaped by global platforms and increasing margin pressure, Zenline helps build profitable, shopper-centric assortments. Its AI software combines margin data with market trends to deliver automated, product-level recommendations, from pricing, product launches and assortment consolidation to the ongoing optimization of existing items. By analyzing internal margin and competitor data alongside social trends, Zenline identifies assortment gaps and suggests concrete pricing actions. The result: intelligent, competitive assortments aligned with what shoppers truly want.

Incorporated in 2024, Zenline AI is already in daily use by leading European retailers and analyzes over 1 million Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). To further strengthen its market position, the startup has raised USD1.6 million in a pre-seed round with contributions from Seedcamp, yellow, First Momentum Ventures and Arc Investors.

“We’re using the funds to accelerate product development, refine our AI model, and expand into new retail verticals. Our aim is to help multi-brand retailers make faster, more profitable assortment decisions, especially against Amazon and Temu. This includes features for identifying assortment gaps and margin optimization, white spots or fast trend analysis”, explains. Arber Sejdiji, CEO of Zenline AI.

Sejdiji previously worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group and gained experience in the consumer goods industry at Procter & Gamble. He holds a degree from ETH Zurich and conducted research in artificial intelligence at the University of Cambridge. Alongside Sejdiji is his co-founder Gerrit Merz and a team of engineers from ETH Zurich, KIT and Cambridge who helped develop the platform.
